FUNZI ISLAND DAY TRIP

Enjoy one full day at Funzi Island after being collected from your hotel in the early morning. Head out on a beautiful drive through coconut palms and cashew nut farms before you arrive at Funzi Island, located 35 kilometers south of Diani Beach. Travel in a traditional dhow for an adventure-filled day through amazing mangroves. Explore the meandering estuary of the Ramisi River on a canoe safari. This river is home to crocodiles and rare beautiful birds. Stop at the sand bank across the bay for a stroll and swim or even explore the Funzi Village. Enjoy delicious sea foods in a local Swahili house at Funzi Mangrove Resort. Later, return to the mainland at 4:00 PM with a dhow before driving back to your hotel around 5:00 PM.

Our driver will pick you from your hotel at 07.30am then drive through coconut palms, cashew nut farmers and sugarcane farmers to Funzi Island; which is located 40km south of Diani. Ride in a boat with adventure-filled day through amazing mangroves. Explore the meandering estuary of the Ramisi River that is home of crocodiles and rare beautiful birds. Stop at the sand bank across the bay for a stroll and swim or even explore the Funzi Village. At lunch time enjoy delicious sea foods at Funzi restaurant in a genuine Swahili house. Our specialties:- crab, grilled fish, coconut rice and non seafood menus. we offer chicken or beef, Vegetarian dishes are also catered for on a request. Later return to mainland at 03.00pm with a boat before driving back to your hotel arriving around 04.00pm
