Chale Island is a little, charming island about 600 meters from the mainland. It is 1.2 km long, 0.8 km wide, and has a basic north/south orientation. It is located 10 kilometers south of Diani. The island is separated into two sections: a tourist area and a sacred forest, or “kaya”. There is a resort located in a gorgeous 10,000 square meter white sand bay that is surrounded by a lively coral reef and is surrounded by 15 acres of indigenous ancient forest.
The island is incredibly stunning with its burst of vibrant flora and fauna, and if that weren’t enough, it also has a mysterious inland tidal mangrove lake.
